ISOLATION MOUNT ASSEMBLY

Isolation Mount Assembly

  • Strip all lanes that are in the field free of lane conditioner.
  • Remove capping and the gutters if necessary from the drop sweep back to
where the predetermined location that the sensor is to be installed.
  • Loosely assemble Sensor Bridge and place over and around ball track.
  • Space the legs evenly on each side of the ball track. Using your black marker, mark the        hole locations. In some cases this may be on the outside of the 1 x 8’s that are installed      parallel with the return track.
  • Using a 3/8” masonry drill bit, drill holes on the marked locations approximately 1 to 1        1/2"  deep. Remove any dust in the hole and insert the anchors.
  • Hammer the 3/8” anchor into the hole until 1 to 1½” of the anchor threads are left                exposed. Once you reach the correct depth, stop hammering as this may damage the          anchor.
  • Install one of the feet of the Isolator bracket over the anchor and place a 3/8” washer,         lock washer and nut on the threads and fasten down into place with your Impact screw       gun. Now do the same for the opposite side.
  • The adjusting All Thread on the feet should have a 5/16” nut with a washer on them.            Slide the bridge across both feet, and adjust the bridge until it is just under the 2 x 4’s.        Slide a 5/16” washer, lock washer, and nut onto the All Thread of the feet and fasten            down completely.

  • Align Slots on Bridge to be centered over the track.
  • Install the mounting assembly onto the bridge by using 2 – ¼-20 x 1 ½” bolts along with      the supplied washers and lock washer and nut. Hand tighten for now.

  • Remove the sensor from the box. With the connections of the sensor facing the pins,          install the sensor into the three slotted holes. Press down and turn into place until the        sensor is locked in all the way.
  • With the laser level placed on the lane, shoot the beam into the sensor and adjust the        sensor plate until the beam hits the top portion of the ‘bullet’ or ‘eye’ inside of the red          lens.
  • In narrow installations you will need to trim off the “ears” from the bottom plate before       installing.
