ALIGNMENT AND CALIBRATION
If you have multiple sensors then select the sensor you want to work with.
In the event this is a new installation, a new Specto Go Calibration or adjusted any major hardware for Specto / Specto Go, then you should click align and verify the sensor is level. Remember, the sensor being level ensures that you obtain the most accurate data.
If you already have a calibrated and just want to verify that it is good then click Calibration Check
ALIGNMENT
After pressing ‘ALIGN’, the sensor will be in alignment mode. When in alignment mode a solid red line will light up indicating that the sensor sees the reflector and is an indication that the sensor is at the right level to see the center of the bowling ball.
You will need to place the 4 calibration sticks on the lane. First, ensure that the reflector is at the correct height on the calibration stick. To do this, place the stick next to a bowling ball and slide it up or down to have it centered with the middle of the ball. Do this for all four calibration sticks. Follow the above diagram as to where to place the reflectors.
Place two of the sticks on the 20 board at the foul line on the furthest left and furthest right lanes. Place the remaining two sticks on the 20 board in front of the headpin.
After all 4 calibration sticks are in place, you will need to adjust the mounting plate until you see red lines from all 4 calibration sticks. Remember, when adjusting the sensor anytime you move one side up you will be moving the opposite direction down. If you do not get a reflection from a reflector, start by moving it up or down to try to find the reflection. In some cases, you may need to get closer to find where the beam is. In some instances you need to be about 4-5 feet from the sensor to first understand where the beam is then you can adjust it with the reflectors close then fine tune it as you move further away.
After you can see all 4 red vertical lines then you can remove the calibration sticks and click ok.
