LOCATING IP ADDRESS

SPECTO IP ADDRESS

You must be on the same network as the controller. In some buildings, the WiFi is the same networks in others it is not. On some networks there are firewalls set up that will interfere with calibration. You should consult with your IT administrator for troubleshooting.

The first thing you need is the IP address of the Controller. For Specto Go it will be the default number that appears. For Specto there are 2 ways to find this.

First, without touching the red lens, hold your hands around the sensor for 5 seconds to block the laser. This will bring up the IP addresses on the sensor for 60 seconds.

There will be two sets of IP address separated by a semi-colon. The first set is for the controller IP and is what is needed. The second is the sensor IP address.

The other way to locate the IP address is within the dashboard for the center. The IP address will be listed under the center profile. It will typically be the 2nd number in this list:

Internet Protocol Address (or IP Address) is a unique address that computing devices such as personal computers, tablets, and smartphones use to identify itself and communicate with other devices in the IP network. Any device connected to the IP network must have a unique IP address within the network. An IP address is analogous to a street address or telephone number in that it is used to uniquely identify an entity. An IP address is written in "dotted decimal" notation, which is 4 sets of numbers separated by period each set representing 8-bit number ranging from (0-255). An example of IPv4 address is 216.3.128.12
